Where Can I Serve?

foot-washing

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of CCL is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Calvary Chapel’s members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as cleaning the church bathrooms, to preparing the church bulletins.

Mission Outreach

CCL is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. The two missionaries that we support are located in two countries—Africa and P.N.G.

Ushers, Greeter Ministry

The usher team at CCL fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher, greater team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of CCL. In an age of widespread technology, we possess the stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website and iTunes in audio formats, and are available for free download. We also maintain an active Facebook & Twitter feed for additional church communication.

Housecleaning and Maintenance Ministry

This is a ministry of volunteers who help keep our church maintained.  Some of their duties are housekeeping, painting, cutting lawn, gardening, light building projects and overall maintenance of our church.

Worship Ministry

We believe that an integral part of our worship and love of the Lord is to be expressed through various musical forms.  Therefore, worship music is a very important part of each service and gathering.  All gifts and talents come from the Lord, and we have a responsibility to use them for His glory alone.  The worship ministries are here to lead the body in times of corporate worship, to encourage and build up those using their gifts for the Lord, and to train up new generations of worshipers of our Almighty God.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. CCL is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Friday evening at 7 PM, we have our corporate prayer meeting. Throughout the week, our Prayer Warrior team  prays for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs.  If you have a prayer need you can visit the prayer page or email us at clprayerchain@gmail.com.

Nursery Ministry

This is where infants and toddlers are ministered to during worship services with prayer and gentle love. Nursery care is provided for Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services.

Kid’s Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, CCL holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons.

Youth Group

Our youth group is an exciting, relevant ministry that deals with seventh through twelfth graders right where they are. Some of the activities include Bible studies, worship, games, group outings, camp-outs and trips. All activities emphasize relationships, both spiritual and interpersonal.

Vacation Bible School

This is a week-long, summer harvest for children ages 4 years old through 6th grade. The program is combined with Bible lessons, songs, crafts, refreshments, recreation and outreaches to the entire community held during the month of August.

Summer Camp

Each summer, CCL joins up with God’s Mountain Ministries youth camp. in Rushville MO. Check out their web-page link for more information.

Love Feast

The first Sunday of the month is a pot luck dinner that is held after the morning service.  This is a great opportunity for knitting the body of Christ together and building relationships

Manna Ministry

Jesus said if you have done it to the least of these you have done it to Me.  This is a ministry that prepares meals for those who have a family member in the hospital, suffered loss or are going through hardship.

Solomon’s Porch Book Store

As a ministry to the church, Solomon’s Porch has a wide selection of Bibles, Christian books and music at discounted prices. We have gift items, as well as, audio CDs of our church services available for sale.  Our mission is to provide growth in our Lord Jesus Christ.  “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” II Timothy 3:16-17.
